God has Great and Mighty plans for you, so what are you still doing on your boat?!

Hey, I get it…some days I don’t want to get out of my boat either. Call it lack of faith, fear, or maybe it’s downright disobedience. Whatever it is, I find I’m perfectly content sitting in my comfort zone just to keep my boat from rocking. If God has great plans for me, it sure would be nice if He would let me know what they are first –maybe then I’d reconsider.

We all want to know what plans God has for our future. It gives us a chance to better prepare for what’s to come. Yet, God has chosen not to give us this insight (and with good reason). I know I for one would probably run ahead without a need of Him, or I’d probably refuse to do my calling at all. It’s disobedience either way.

My friend, we don’t have to know the future to have faith in God. We have to have faith in God to be secure about the future. When we love and trust God, we willingly follow His plan. Love is more than sentimental feel-good words. It’s commitment and action. If we love Him, we’ll obey His command.

So get out of your boat! God’s calling you to do a Great and Mighty purpose for Him! Trust, obey and have faith! Take that foot and step out on the water! You won’t sink –God’s Got You! Take His hand and start walking!

“For God saved us and called us to live a holy calling. He did this, not because of our own works, but because that was His plan from before the beginning of time–to show us His grace through Christ Jesus.”
