Not my will but Thy will be done.
Seems easy enough. God gives direction, we follow. So why do we always run off the path? Why do we willingly take direction in the beginning, yet never listen to Him along the way?
Oh the struggle with self-sufficiency…the stubborn side of our free will. We’re so quick to push God aside once He gives us just a glimpse of His plan. At what part of this journey do you actually feel you have control, my friend? We serve a God who controls ALL things. When He gives you direction, your trust and obedience should listen. It’s your choice to follow each step along the way —each step!— not just the first 3. Trust me, you’ll walk a much easier path if you patiently listen. “Patiently” listen.
He’s already gone before you, He already knows what’s best. He holds your tomorrow right in the palm of His hand. Grab hold of His hand, proceed only as follows. God gave you ears for a reason, it’s up to you to listen.
