God’s Open Doors

When God has a plan, nothing stops that plan. But how do we know this door is from Him? How do we know it’s safe to proceed?

I’m an eager do-er. When I see a door, I’m usually the first one through! Most times it doesn’t even dawn on me to ask, “God, is this door from You…?” That same eagerness [impatience] has gotten me in plenty of precarious situations over the years. Thankfully, we serve a merciful God whose Grace always brings me to the door HE placed in front of me –not the one I forced my way into.

Through hard lessons learned, I know God’s opened doors will never contradict His Word. We should never have to bend Scripture to force the key in our door. If we do, that door is not from Him. Seek confirmation through God’s Word BEFORE you proceed. It shows your dependence on Him. It brings you to a place of peace with every opened door …even the ones you didn’t knock on.
