Dry barren wastelands. A sea of nothingness. Can you trust Him to lead you through?

I’m not sure which is harder. Climbing up a mountaintop or wandering through a desert. I’ve had to do both a few times in my life and mountains almost seem easier. Maybe it’s because you feel you have a goal in sight: “If I can just reach the top!” Each day you keep climbing because eventually, you know you’ll get to the peak and the view will be spectacular!

Deserts appear hopeless. Everything around you totally void of life. Where do you go? Which direction do you head? Lost, confused, no goal in sight. All alone, your problems become your only focus and oh, the mental torment in your head. So easy to forget God in this place, but trust me, He hasn’t forgotten you.

God will never leave you to fend for yourself. His provision and blessing will never run dry. He will meet you where you are, even when this place doesn’t make any sense. Patience, endurance and trust will be tested; but He always makes a way when there doesn’t seem to be a way. With each grueling step, you realize just how much you rely on Him. Mission accomplished, my friend.

Time in the desert often proves to be our most faith-filled, power-packed moments of our lives. One that oftentimes isn’t appreciated until after you’ve made it through. The true miracle in this vast wasteland is watching God move us through impossible situations, done not in our own strength, but done only with Him. God ALWAYS works everything for your good. Can you trust Him to lead you through? Don’t give up in the desert! Your Promised Land awaits ~AMEN!

“For the LORD your God has blessed you in everything you have done. He has watched your every step through this great wilderness. During these forty years, the LORD your God has been with you, and you have lacked nothing.”
